Some YouTube Goodness

I have not one but two videos to share with you. One is a recording of a podcast I participated in, while the second is an audio short story based on chapter 9 of The Eagle's Flight.

The Fantasy Fiends discuss topics related to fantasy literature along with a guest author each week. My proposed topic was cultural diversity outside of medieval Europe, which I will also be making a blog post about. I also demonstrate how to wield a scimitar on horseback for maximum killing effect, we do a live reading of an excerpt from The Eagle's Flight, and I teach them some facts about Denmark.

Chris Herron from Tall Tale TV makes audio short stories out of texts sent to him by authors like me. While I do have a number of short stories, I felt that chapter 9, The Long Watch, from my book works quite well as a story on its own. Chris agreed and used his talents to turn it into a short audio story. I encourage you to check out his site and his story for doing audio stories, which is quite amazing.

I hope you enjoy, and feel free to let me know what you thought of the discussion with the Fantasy Fiends! And if you liked Chris' work, rest assured that I will asking him to do more short stories once I have more material.

"The character development is really strong, in particular the psychological one is abundant and detailed. This really helps create an intimacy and connection with the reader and hence with the story. "
